Taiwan 台灣 known as Formosa meaning "The Beautiful Island" . Literally, the name Tai台 means "a flat raised surface", and wan 灣 means "bay".
The capital of Taiwan is Taipei City 臺北市, located in the Northern Part of Taiwan.
I lived in Taipei City for 4 years before I moved to Taipei County in 2007.It's very convenient, Taipei County is 20 minutes away from the city.
Taiwanese Are Innovative People with Extraordinary Identity.
