Our third stop is here known as Swallow Grotto. We have to wear helmets for precaution. The suspension hanging bridge above is very long, but we're not allowed to cross it. According to the tourist guide, people wants to cross the bridge has to ask permission to the government first. They're only allowing 40 people per day.
We passed through this dark tunnel...
We spent 40-45 minutes walking and capturing the place until we reached Jinhang Bridge (as seen at the background).
Hi Lani, is this the ones that the mountain was cut and the road pass through it.. awesome adventure...
ReplyDeleteNo, this is another place , our 3rd destination :)
ReplyDeleteHow disappointing, to get there and not be allowed across that inviting bridge.
ReplyDeleteWonderful scenery.

Wow, these photos are absolutely incredible!
ReplyDeleteLove the suspension bridge - wouldn't want to cross it myself, but am glad it is there to see!
ReplyDeleteWow -- beautiful photos. I recently read a book that took place there and so it was great to see what the gorge looks like.
ReplyDeleteWow that bridge is really scary. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteThese shots ar breathtaking. That bridge does look scary!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bridge! When you said that you had to wear helmets, I thought "Helmets? Those aren't going to offer much protection for tumbling from that bridge." I'm guessing there are lots of falling rocks. It looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLani....This is a fabulous collection of pictures. What a heavenly place to visit and photograph. I do not think I would walk out on that old swinging bridge with or without a helmet, and I certainly would not petition the government to allow me to cross it. I know you had a grand time on this outing.
ReplyDeletesafety helmets for protection from Swallow bombs?
ReplyDeletethese are really spectacular photos! although i must admit, my fear of heights kicked in a bit from that first one! wowza! looks lovely but i would seriously break down and cry if someone even suggested i cross that!
